Game Delayed for 15 minutes because of crowd congestion.
A exellent start to Liverpool's pre-season fliendly's with
a 2:0 win over Wrexham at the Racecoure Ground. Goals by Paul Anderson (5) and Craig Bellamy (52) made Liverpool
deservedly get a win.
The first goal happened when Riise managed to breakthrough some Wrexham players
on the left, to crossed it to Anderson. By the far post he young former Hull midfilder hit a debut volleyed goal
for Liverpool. Paul Anderson is only seventeen and scored a goal 5 minutes in his first game.
Both Craig Bellamy and Gabriel Paletta played their first game in a Liverpool shirt.
They were both new signings. Paletta was one of the eight that came off at half time.
Meanwhile Bellamy did stay on and scored a goal before being substituted. The goal happened
when Robbie Fowler (a half time substitute)partnered Bellamy up front.Just after Seven minutes of Fowler comeing
on set up Bellamy with his pass allowing Bellamy to run on the ball and steer the ball passed Jones and into the back on the
net.
Later on in the 70th minute, Pongolle had his shot exellently saved from the
Wrexham goalkeeper Jones, to prevent Liverpool going 3:0 up.
